Through the generous support of our corporate partners, ChildFund’s Gift-in-Kind (GIK) program collects millions of dollars’ worth of desperately needed supplies – gifts in kind – each year. But we need your help to get them into the hands of the children who need them most – and time is running out!

How does the Gift-in-Kind program work?

Companies like Amazon, Procter & Gamble and IQAir donate supplies that children need most in the communities where we work. We collect, store and prepare these items for shipping. Your contributions help us deliver and distribute these essential products. The GIK fund effectively increases the value of every dollar you donate 25x!

What items does Gift-in-Kind provide?

Since 2011, our GIK fund has been able to provide a wide range of vital items and everyday essentials specifically requested by communities in need of support. Some of the most common items include:

• Antibiotics
• Vitamins
• Medical supplies
• Textbooks and school supplies
• Wheelchairs
• Hospital beds
• Mosquito nets
• Solar lamps (for families without electricity)
• Mattresses
• Water purifying tablets

…and even TOYS!

Who will benefit from the Gift-in-Kind items?

Though we have been helping children and families in dozens of countries since 1938, the GIK fund is currently providing support to communities in the following countries, with plans to include others.

You can ensure a child can get a good night’s sleep on a mattress instead of sleeping on a hard floor. You can significantly reduce a child’s risk of malaria by making mosquito nets available. You can help a child thrive in school by giving access to basic supplies like pencils and textbooks.
