Subeesha, a sweet little girl, lives in the mist-covered hills of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, an area known for its cool climate and lush green landscapes. Though still too young for school, Subeesha’s family faces many struggles as they work to provide for her future. Her father works full-time as a driver, while her mother stays at home as a housewife. Despite their hard work, their annual income of only $840 makes it incredibly difficult to provide enough food and cover the educational expenses for their child. Their modest home, made with cement walls and floors and a tin-sheet roof, lacks many comforts. While they have access to electricity, they rely on a common well for water and do not have a toilet facility, which adds to the daily challenges. Though their situation is tough, Subeesha’s parents dream of a better future for her, one where she can grow, learn, and succeed. They are seeking a sponsor to help ease the burden.
