Sirah is a cheerful girl who lives with her parents in a tiny two bedroom mud bricks house roofed with old zinc which sometimes leak when there is a heavy down pour of rain. There is no electricity. At night, they use solar lamps to have light. The family was relocated to that community due to the construction of a dam in the original location. Her father is a subsistence farmer and also taps palm wine which her mother sells to get their daily meal. Sirah is healthy and loves playing local games with her peers. She is attending in the primary schools in the community and very clever in school. Sirah is very fond of her mother and always assists in her little way in serving drinking water. She slept on a straw mat on the floor beside the bed of the parents. Your sponsorship will help this family overcome the poverty Sirah is facing and has a brighter future.
