Yainkain is a cheerful and hard working girl who lives with her parents and grandmother in a village in the northern region of Sierra Leone that lack electricity and some basic amenities. She comes from an extended family. Yainkain has a brother and sister. She has not started attending school but enjoys basic early childhood care at home by her mother. The family dwell in an unfinished mud house that is roof with zinc and it normally leaks during the rainy season. She sleeps with her sister in a bed that is made of stick and mattress made of savannah grass. Subsistence farming is their main source of income. The income raised after selling the producet from an annual harvest is used to take care of the basic necessities of the family. The family annual income is around US $ 340.0, which is inadequate for the family to survive. With a potential sponsor,Yainkain will have an opportunity to continue school and achieve her full potential.
