Sharon as commonly called at home is a friendly and jolly girl who lives with both parents in the Midwestern part of Uganda. They live in a house made of thatched grass and mud walls. The family source of livelihood is subsistence farming which has always been affected by poor farming methods and unfavorable climatic conditions. The earnings from farming are usually below US 10 dollars. This is not enough to enable the family to have all the basic needs. The community where the family lives have challenges of health care access, they travel long-distances to get health care services. Sometime, mothers give birth on the way before reaching the hospitals. Many families resort to use of local herbs to treat common illnesses because drugs from private clinics are expensive. The nearest government health facility is about 10 kilometers from the community. Your kind heart to sponsor Sharon will be of great value in providing her, her family and the entire community with good health care services through participation in the organization health program like community outreaches.
