Velinda is a young girl who lives with her parents and two other family members in the Northern part of Uganda. Their home is a grass thatched hut made of mud and wattle. They mainly rely on small scale farming with basic tools, but the harvest is not enough to sustain the family. To earn extra money, her mother does stone squaring to provide for her the needs of her children. However, even with their combined efforts, the family cannot earn more than 15 US dollars per month. They usually have just one meal a day with limited variety. Velinda is not old enough for school yet. They have to travel a long way for healthcare and clean water. By sponsoring this family, you can bring about a significant positive change. They can enjoy a better life and look forward to a brighter future through education and medical care for Velinda and the entire family.
