Sandra is an adorable girl who lives with her father and grandmother in Northern Uganda. As the only child, she receives a lot of love from her grandmother. They sleep in huts with walls made of mud and wattle and thatched roofs. Sandra is still too young for school. Their family relies on small scale farming to get by, growing crops like maize, beans, cassava, sweet potatoes and vegetables. They eat most of what they grow and sell any extra to cover education and healthcare expenses. Unfortunately, their crop yield has been decreasing due to over farming and unpredictable weather. This has made it challenging for the family to have enough food and money for their basic needs. Since they do not have any other source of income, it is difficult for her family to provide for all their necessities.
