Francisco is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his mother, Ana, and with two sisters and one brother, on the outskirts of a municipality located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is lent to them, has brick walls, ceramic tile floor and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The father has abandoned the home and has not been providing any type of financial support for his children. Ana receives a small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Francisco is shy and helpful. He is called Arthur in the household. He helps his mom by filling the bottles with water. His favorite pastimes include playing tag and hide-and-seek. He has a dog and a cat he is fond of. Francisco enjoys good health. He attends a local public primary school and his favorite subject is Portuguese. His wish is to be a firefighter when he grows up. The family is needy and through your support Francisco and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
