Steven is a humble and social boy who comes from the northern part of Uganda. He stays with both parents, they live in a grass thatched hut made of mud walls and packed dirt floor which is normally smeared with cow dung. The family draws water from a nearby unprotected well which is not safe because at times during dry season animals like cows, pigs, sheep, and some goats within the village go to drink water from the same water source. They have some goats whose offspring is at times sold to support in meeting some of their basic needs like medical care and supplementary foods/diet, education needs/scholastic materials. However, this is not constant and reliable. Sometimes they lack market for their products as the goats project is not able to get good income enough for the family. Steven is enrolled in one of the nearby community primary schools however the education standard and systems mostly in the rural setting like where he is lacks proper facilities for lower primary learners of his age. Steven enjoys playing football game with his peers and riding a bicycle while fetching water for domestic use like cooking food, bathing.
