Isatou is commonly known to her family as Iso. She lives with her parents, grandparents and brother in a small rural community is situated in the western rural province of the Gambia. They live in a mud house and sleep on local wooden beds. Her parents involve in farming and gardening to generate income to take care of the feeding, clothing and health of the family but due to crop failure as a result of lack of modern farming technique, high cost of farm equipment couple with other factors the parents do not earn enough money thus challenging for the parents to address the family needs in the year. Isatou is healthy and enjoys playing to her self and smiling at her mother when breast feeding. She is going through home based caring and will be enrolled in school in the near future.
