Lansana who is commonly called Sao lives with his parents and one sister in a rural village in Eastern Sierra Leone. The family lives in a two bed room mud house with thatch roof. He sleeps on a locally made bed with a savanna grass stuffed mattress with his twin sister. His parents are small scale farmers who grow vegetable crops such as rice maize, pepper, cassava and potato. When crops are harvested, some of the produce are sold to take care of other family needs like health, education and clothing. They also reserve some for food. The family income is approximately US$ 194 per year. This is not enough to provide all the basic needs for Lansana and family. Lansana is attending school and his favorite subject is Mathematic. A potential sponsor like you can help him to actualize his dream of becoming a good citizen who will bring lasting change in his community.
