Sharon is a charming young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother, father, six brothers and one sister. The family lives in a palm thatched hut covered with sticks in a communal land. They fetch water from a community bore hole whose water is scarce as it is depended upon by many households. Her mother is the breadwinner of the family who depends on mat weaving and basketry while the father is a casual worker. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet all the family basic needs. Her mother decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Sharon is enrolled in a nearby school and colouring is her favourite activity. While at home, she likes playing hide and seek with her friends. Additionally, she helps her mother in rinsing utensils and sweeping the compound. She would like to be a nurse when she grows up. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
