Josephine lives with her parents in the rural part of the country. They sleep in a mud house roofed with old zincs. Josephine sleeps with her parent on a wooden bed without proper bedding as a result Josephine is expose to cold. Her parent engages in small scale farming. They grow their crops mainly for home consumption and sell little to augment their other needs. The mother manages to provide a single meal a day. Despite the financial constrain of the family, they manage to send two of their children to school. Josephine is healthy. She has not started attending school but enjoys basic early childhood care at home by her mother. With sponsorship, she will live in a safe and secured environment.
