Simon is a friendly and active child. He lives in a family of six members, with three siblings all under the care of his parents in the mid-western part of Uganda. Simon enjoys supporting his parents sweep the compound and during his free time. He likes playing football with his siblings especially after school, the family stay in a grass thatched roof and packed dirt floor house. His parents earn a living through farming that they practice on a small piece of rented land. However, family demands are always force his parents to sell off a little of the crop yields to support meet other basic needs like medical care, school fees, clothing, and shelter, all this is not met because the family earns less than 15 US dollars a month. Simon is unable to access better medical care, school fees- requirements to facilitate him attend school regularly.
