Raphael is a shy, humble but playful child. He lives in family of four members including siblings and both parents in one of the villages in the mid-western part of Uganda a community characterized by subsistence farming. His parents earn a living through peasantry farming growing crops for home consumption. Oftentimes their crop is affected by climatic changes, pests, diseases, and soil infertility leading to low and poor yields. On average a month, they earn very little money, which is not enough to provide for Raphael and family. Access to clean and safe drinking water is a challenge, they share an open spring well water with animals exposing them to waterborne diseases. The community has no access to the medical facilities, the only available one is 9 kilometers away from the family, such a condition has made Raphael and family to resort to the use of local herbs as first aids which is dangerous to human health. Your golden heart to sponsor this needy child will enable him to have access to safe and clean water and better livelihood empowerment programs through participation in the organization.
