Morlai is a strong, healthy boy living with his parents and siblings in a small village in the northern part of Sierra Leone. The family lives in a mud brick house of two bedrooms roofed with old zinc. Morlai sleeps on a dried mattress bed. His father is a farmer and the mother is engaged in selling local products. Their combined annual income is not more than US$400.00 and it cannot support the basic needs of the family. Morlai is still too young to start attending the community primary school. He enjoys listening to traditional songs at home. The family shares a single meal twice a day. Morlai loves going to the farm with his parents and he has very lovely eyes.
