Regina is a smart girl who lives with her parents and siblings in a rocky community in the north of Sierra Leone. The family engages in farming and petty trading, but still struggle to meet the needs of the family. Her parents earn a yearly income of US$600 as this is raised from the sales of harvested products from the farm and other basic items sold in the village market. Yet this cannot afford to provide them a bag of rice and other basic necessities. This cannot elevate them from their present situation. Because the sales are not enough to meet their basic needs. The family dwells in a round hut built with mud and roofed with thatch. This exposes them to cold and mosquito bite, yet they cannot afford to treat themselves when they are affected with illness. This condition makes them feel as one of the poorest family in the village. Regina is an obedient and beautiful girl. She likes dancing cultural songs with her age mate in the village. She will be happy to finish school, expose to greater opportunities for a brighter future.
