Salematou is living with her parents in a remote village called Firiyire located in Sougueta community. They practice local farming and breeding that give them an estimated income of US$380 per year. With this low income, they hardly meet their needs including quality food and sanitation.  Salematou is attending the village preschool and loves singing. She enjoys playing with dolls very much in her friends companies. At night, she sleeps in a bed under a mosquito net with her mother. She seems to be an intelligent and joyful little girl.
