Yeabu is from the rural areas of Sierra Leone. She lives with her grandmother and only sister in a village known for its farming activities. Her father is dead and her mother is in the city learning trade. Their village lack safe drinking water. They fetch water from nearby streams that is not safe to drink. The family occupied an old mud stick house roofed with thatch which needs to change yearly. She is attending the community primary school in her village as a visitor. She enjoys reading the English alphabets as a song. She helps in preparing food for the house. Her health is good. Her grandmother is a farmer who grows different crops and vegetables mainly for consumption and sells some when the harvest is good. The family depends on a single meal a day as their annual income is less than $388 per annum. Yeabu like to play balancing ball with her friends.
