Shirline is a joyful young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother, father, two brothers and three sisters. The family lives in a palm thatched hut covered with sticks in a communal land. They fetch water from a community bore hole whose water is scarce as it is depended upon by many households. Her mother is the breadwinner of the family who depends on selling groceries while her father practices herding. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet all the family basic needs. Her mother decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Shirline is enrolled in a nearby school and matching shapes is her favourite activity. While at home, she likes skipping rope with her friends. Additionally, she helps her mother in rinsing utensils and sweeping the compound. Her aspiration is to become a news anchor when she grows up. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
