Rebecca is a smart little girl who lives with her parents siblings in a farming community in the northern Sierra Leone. The family dwell in a mud bricks extended family house with unfinished dirt floors with no proper ventilation. Small scale farming is their main source of livelihood. The income from the farm produce could not address all their basic needs of the family. The mother also sells kola nuts at the local market to help in the upkeep of the home. Rebecca is attending in one of the primary schools in the community. She is healthy and lives happily with her peers.Her best subject is Hand writing and her best meal is cooked rice and potato leaf source. Sponsorship will go a long way to restore hope in her for a brighter future.
