Rockey dwells with his parents and siblings in a two bedroom mud house roof with sticks and covered with thatch which needs rehabilitated every year to avoid lekages. His parents are substence farmers who grow swamp rice for home consumption ans later sell small to provide some basic needs for their children. The estimated annual inome of his parent is vartually too small to up keep the family. He has special interest for education even though things are not easy for his parents he always urge his parent to support him. He likes listening to stories and imitating adult school learners while they study at night using a solar lamp. He sometimes assists his mother in his little way on domestic work.
