Jose is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Luiz and Ana, in a small rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is lent to them, has brick walls, ceramic tile floor and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Luiz works as a production assistant in a local factory and his earnings are far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Jose is cheerful and communicative. He likes playing ball in the company of other kids his age. He has a cat he is fond of. Jose is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends nursery school and loves painting and coloring. He says that he will be a priest when he grows up. The family is needy and through your support Jose and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
