Aliah is a charming young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana. She lives with her mother, father, seven brothers and two sisters. They live in palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. the family fetch their water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and in scarce. The family depends on basket and mat weaving and charcoal selling as the main economic activity. They also practice bead making as a livelihood supplementation activity though it is not reliable as it only picks during festive season. However, the annual income derived from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. For this reason, her mother decided to approach the office seeking for further assistance. Aliah is enrolled in an ECD centre where she is in play group. In school, she enjoys drawing sketches and colouring while dancing is her favourite activity. Aliah would like to be an air hostess when she grows up. At home, Aliah helps her parents in collecting firewood. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
