Jannah Mae, or Mae-Mae, is an only child. She lives with her parents in a house owned by her grandparents. It is mostly made of bamboo from walls to floors. They have their own toilet, access to water, and electricity connection. It takes them 25 minutes to reach the villages center where almost all social services and facilities are located. The family relies on the income of $40.00 they receive monthly from farming. Since it is scarcely enough, her father works part-time as a driver. Mae-Maes parents desire to give her the best life out of what they have. Mae-Mae is growing appreciative and kind. She is enrolled in a daycare center in their village. She is learning how to write her name, read sentences, and do simple math. She is a little bit shy most of the time, but she loves to sing her favorite song in front of her parents. Mae-Mae loves red. She dreams of becoming a great nurse someday. Your kindness can turn her dream into a possibility!
