Ruth is a cheerful girl. She likes helping her family do domestic chores like fetching water for domestic use. She lives with both parents and sibling in North Eastern Uganda. She attends formal education and her dream is to become an Engineer but this can only become a reality with availability of funds which her family does not have. She likes playing sliding games with her peers at school. They reside in small temporary grass thatched huts made of mud walls and wattle. Her father who is the sole provider struggles to provide for them basic needs like good nutrition, clothing, beddings and medical care. The situation is worsened by low crop yield which is a result of poor farming methods used, prolonged dry spell and water logging. The family survives on less than US 10 dollars per month. Acquiring other basic necessities like kerosene, sugar and soap is also a challenge. With your kind contribution coupled with the family effort, her future will definitely shine.
