Tayna is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Francisco and Iracir, in a small rural community in the state of Ceara. Their simple home has brick walls, ceramic tile floors and a clay-tiled roof. It is lent to them and has a tiny bathroom. Francisco is unemployed at this time. Iracir tries to earn a living by cleaning houses when available; her low income, however, is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of her family. Tayna is friendly and intelligent. She helps around the house mostly by washing the dishes and sweeping the floor. In her spare time, she usually plays volleyball. She has a cat she is fond of. Tayna is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She attends a local public school and her favorite subject is Portuguese. She dreams of becoming a veterinarian someday. Your support will make a difference in the life of this needy child.
