Mercy is the only child by her two parents. She however has step-siblings that she lives with together with the parents in Eastern Uganda. Her father a porter and mother a small-scale farmer struggle to meet the basic necessities of the child. They earn approximately US dollars 15 on a monthly basis which very little to cater for all their needs. This then means that many basic needs are left unfulfilled. They usually face challenges with getting daily food and which has weakened her immunity greatly. This explains why the child is usually sick and yet even that comes with a huge burden and cost as they cannot afford hospital bills. The playful child would love to have a normal life like other children but even the toys she would play with have become a luxurious thought fur from the deprived family. Sponsoring Mercy would give her the opportunity to be empowered to an average kind of living.
