John is a smart handsome young boy who lives with his parents, grandmother and uncle in a small village surrounded with natural vegetation in the northern part of Sierra Leone. He is not attending school due to his age. They family lives in a mud bricks house, roofed with old zinc. Jonh and parents sleep on a local mattress, and they are exposed to cold wind that blows at night and skin related diseases. Their harvest is very little due to unfavorable weather conditions. The family earns very little income less than US$340 per year, which cannot provide two meals a day. He loves playing with his grandmother. The community lacks safe drinking water and good health facilities. They fetch drinking water from the stream where all waste are deposited. As a result of this, they are prone to diaherea. With sponsorship support,John and family will live a healthy life; have access to safe drinking water in the community.
