Baby Mariama as commonly called by the family lives in the provincial part of the Gambia. She is a beautiful young girl who lives with her parents in an extended family, her mother does petty trading to supplement the fathers effort whiles her father works as a farmer and also works on contract in their community. Their yearly produce is always below the average and this alone cannot cater the basic needs for the family year-round. Beautiful Mariama is not attending school and her parents ambition is to educate her well to become a responsible person but if only economic challenges are eradicated through childfund intervention. She likes making friends and to be running about during her leisure time and also likes playing toys when the parents are busy on their domestic work.
