Janet is an active and playful young girl; she lives with her parents in the Mid-Western part of Uganda. She is the middle child in her family, her family lives in a hut with mud walls, packed dirt floor and roofed with dry grass. The hut is often crowded and also serves as a store for harvested crops making it very small for the family. The family of Janet are peasant farmers growing seasonal crops for home consumption. The crops yield on which they depend on has reduced over time and this has led to the family living on one main meal a day. Access to medical care is a challenge, her parents must carry her a long distance to the only government hospital when she falls sick. With the family income of less than 1.25 US dollars a day, they cannot afford three meals a day. Your heartfelt contribution to sponsor Janet will bring lifelong change in her life by participating the project activities.
