Mamanding is a healthy and joyful young boy. He is old enough to be sent to primary school. He is an intelligent child who likes school. He is a dynamic child who plays football or hide and seek with his friends. He lives with his parents and siblings in their own house made of clay. They fetch water from a well. In this remote village, there is no electric power. At night, the use a solar lamp. The main occupation of the inhabitants is agriculture. His father is a volunteer teacher. But during the rainy season, he grows millet, maize and peanuts. The mother stays home and performs the house chores. The annual income of the family is US $900.00 and is not enough to cover the family needs. An extra support from a sponsor can certainly help this child succeed in school.
