Susan is a brilliant, inquisitive girl, living with both parents and siblings in North Eastern Uganda. Her family cultivates maize, beans, millet, and cassava every planting season for livelihood. They hardly eat two meals a day due to limited farm production brought by bad weather which affects food production. They supplement it by providing casual labour in the gardens of other people and later be paid a stipend for acquisition of basic needs like clothing, medical care, good shelter, and food. The father who is the sole provider is overwhelmed by the family needs because of lack of stable source of income. The family lives in huts made of mud walls, wattle and grass thatched roofs which require constant repairs, yet the thatching grass is very scarce thus leaking whenever there is rain. Susan has not yet started attending school in the kindergarten because of her tender age. Your kind support to her will be a blessing to Susan.
