Chanilde is a friendly girl who lives with her parents and sister in a small community located in the southeastern part of Mozambique. Chanilde has not started school yet because she is still underage. Her parents are subsistence farmers. They grow some crops but when the harvest season comes, she just gets little food owing to the dependence of their crops with rain. They cannot afford the irrigation system. It is certainly out of question as it is very expensive. Chanilde and her family live in a self-built house with walls, a thatched roof and dirt floor. They do not have running water. They fetch water about 4 km away. Chanilde participates in the program where she will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. Her family will benefit from the training skills and home improvement programs. We are hopeful that your sponsorship will enable this child to have adequate access to basic essentials and have a good future.
