Theo is a very young Brazilian boy who lives with his mother, Claudia; twin brother, Noah, and older sister, Vitoria, in a rural community located in the Jequitinhonha Valley, northeastern Minas Gerais, which is a poor and drought-stricken region. Their simple home, which is self-built, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The father has abandoned the home and has not been providing any type of financial support for his children. Claudia works hard as a domestic servant, but her very low wages are far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of the family. Theo is affectionate, intelligent and playful. He likes playing tag and with toy cars in the company of his twin and other kids his age. Theo is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends nursery school. The family is needy and through your support Theo and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
