Fatmata is a promising little girl who lives with her aunt and cousin and other relatives in a small village in the rural areas of Sierra Leone. Her parents are in another village engaged in small scale farming. Fatmata and aunt dwell in a five bed room mud house roofed with zinc that leaks during the rainy season. Fatmata and aunt occupied a single room that is sealed with local straw mat and the floor is not paved. They sleep on a local bed with poor beddings. She sometimes suffered from common cold and other flu as she is always exposed to the cold wind blowing at night especially during the cold harmattan period. Her aunt practice backyard garden and also double as a petty trader selling cooking condiment around the village to help with the family finances. She earns low income that can only meet needs of education, medical bills and food leaving the others unattended to. She is friendly and gets on well with her play mate. She enjoys dancing and playing balancing ball. With sponsorship, Fatmata will grow in a healthy environment and get good education.
