Meet Kevin. He is a gentle, friendly and playful boy who has much fun playing football with his friends. He grows up in the city of Oruro, western Bolivia, which is famous for its carnival, during which people dress up in colorful costumes and dance in the streets. He is enrolled in kindergarten, wher he especially enjoys his coloring activities. Kevin lives with his parents and brother Cliver in a small house made of adobe walls and corrugated metal roof. His father earns a living as a construction worker, while his mother takes care of the home. The family makes around US $ 437.00 per month. The income that the family receives is minimal and insufficient to meet all of their basic family needs. Poverty is a daily reality that most Bolivian children face throughout their childhood, as they do not have enough resources to thrive. The story of this child can follow the same pattern if we do not do something to change it.
