Fatoumata and family lives rural parts of The Gambia about 150km away from the Capital City Banjul were farming and its other related activities are the source of income for most people living there. Their Village is about the population of about 800 inhabitants. Her parents are peasant farmers who cultivate crops seasonally and they depend on seasonal rains to make their living. Her parents are low income earners whose annual income is mostly below average, her father cultivates peanuts, coos, and cassava whilst her mother does vegetable gardening at their backyard. Enrolling her through ChildFund sponsorship program, make her have access to many basic needs a child might need.
