Mai and parents live in small village in kombo east district in the west coast region of the Gambia. Her father just died some years ago and leaving her with widow mother and siblings. She now live guardian who looks after her Presently her mother find it very challenging to provide basic needs of this child and siblings due to her low earning. She is been enrolled into sponsorship so that she can have access to quality education, good health and improved living condition. Her mother is a farmer and engage on backyard gardening to generate some little income to take care of needs of the children and their needs.
