Ian grows up in La Paz, nestled in the Andes Mountains at an elevation of over 3,600 meters above sea level. He is a joyful, quiet and playful boy who has much fun watching TV. He attends primary school, where he enjoys his drawing activities. He dreams of becoming a doctor when he gets older. This Spanish-speaking boy lives with his mother and grandfather in a small house made of adobe walls and corrugated metal roof. His mother earns a living as a cleaner. The family makes around US $ 260.00 per month. The income that the family receives is minimal and insufficient to meet all of their basic family needs. Poverty is a daily reality that most Bolivian children face throughout their childhood, as they do not have enough resources to thrive. The story of this child can follow the same pattern if we do not do something to change it.
