Fernanda is a young girl who lives in a community located on the outskirts of Maputo city, the capital of Mozambique, in southern Africa. The region is characterized by a hot and dry weather almost all year round. She lives with the grandparents because the father abandoned her. Fernanda and her family live in a self-built house with bare block walls, tin roof and a rough concrete floor. They have access to running water and electricity utilities, but above all, the living circumstance is one of dire poverty. She is not in school as she is under school age, but she aspires to contribute to society by being a Doctor in the future. It turns out that the grandfather is an unemployed man who does odd jobs in order to get by. This girl and her family have lack of money and face many problems to get food. The family income is very low. Fernanda participates in the program where she will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. We are hopeful that your sponsorship will enable this child to have adequate access to basic essentials and have a good future.
