Maholy is a playful child who lives in a rural community located on the west side of Honduras. She lives with both her parents and brother in a one-bedroom house made out of blocks, concrete, and zinc roof, they´ve a latrine. Her father works as a farmer during seasons to provide for the family, while her mother stays at home in charge of household chores. Maholy likes to sing and play with dolls. She goes to kindergarten where her favorite subject is Music and Art.
