Dylan grows up in the city of Oruro, nestled in the Andes Mountains at an elevation of over 3,700 meters above sea level. He is a joyful, lively, quiet and caring boy who has much fun playing football. He attends primary school. His favorite class is sports. He dreams of becoming a firefighter one day. He lives with his mother and 2 siblings in a small house made of adobe walls and corrugated metal roof. His mother is the sole provider. The family makes around US $ 262.00 per month. The income that the family receives is minimal and insufficient to meet all of their basic family needs. Poverty is a daily reality that most Bolivian children face throughout their childhood, as they do not have enough resources to thrive. The story of this child can follow the same pattern if we do not do something to change it.
