Raimundo is a young boy who lives in a community located on the outskirts of Maputo city, the capital of Mozambique, in southern Africa. The region is characterized by a hot and dry weather almost all year round. He lives with his grandmother because the father does not provide assistance of this child. Raimundo and his family live in a self-built house with bare block walls, tin roof and a rough concrete floor. They have access to running water and electricity utilities, but above all, the living circumstance is one of dire poverty. It turns out that the grandmother is an unemployed woman who does subsistence farming in order to get by. This boy and his family have lack of money and face many problems to get food. The family income is very low. Raimundo participates in the program where he will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. We are hopeful that your sponsorship will enable this child to have adequate access to basic essentials and have a good future.
