Little Khadidiatou is a healthy and joyful baby girl. She is too young to be sent to any structure for her education. She likes to be with her mother and does not cry much. She smiles when she is on her mother’s knees. She lodges with her parents and siblings in house made of clay. They fetch water from a well. There is no electric supply in this remote village where the main occupations of the inhabitants are agriculture and commerce. Her father is a farmer. During the rainy season, he grows millet, maize and rice. The mother is a housewife. The irregular yearly income of the family is US $850.00 and is too low to cover the family needs. An extra support from a sponsor can certainly provide this child a better future.
