Binette is a healthy and joyful young girl. She is now trying to walk and speak but has not yet started attending kindergarten. She is a restless child who likes to run or play with her cooking pots and sand. She lives with her parents and siblings in a house made of clay. They fetch water from a well. In this remote area, the main activities of the inhabitants are agriculture and commerce. Her father is a farmer. During the rainy season, he grows millet, peanuts and rice. The mother is a housewife but helps her husband in the fields. The irregular annual income of the family is US $790.00 and is not enough to meet the family needs. An extra support from a sponsor can certainly help this child to grow up in better conditions.
