We are privileged to introduce to you Raymond a humble boy, who lives with his parents in one of the villages in the eastern region of Uganda near the slopes of Mount Elgon. Raymond is the oldest child in the family. He loves eating bananas and meat. He likes yellow color so much. He loves playing with locally made toys with his friends in the neighborhood. The family lives in a house made of metal roof, mud wall and packed dirt floor. This family shares this house with birds which is not healthy, this alone exposes Raymond to diseases because there is no good aeration. This family basically relies on subsistence agriculture where they basically plant cassava, maize, beans for consumption on less than an acre. The parents also do seasonal casual labor but this cannot sustain the family. This renders Raymond vulnerable with most the Basic needs not being met. That is why he was identified so that he can be enrolled to benefit from the multiple programs offered by child fund.
