Jadiel is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Jose and Maria, and with a brother, in a small rural village located in the interior of the state of Ceara, which is a hot and remote region. Their simple home has brick walls, rough cement floors and a clay-tiled roof. It is self-built and has a tiny bathroom. Water is carried from a well. Jose works as a day laborer in agriculture and also does some subsistence farming when available. Jadiel is calm, attentive, communicative, playful and friendly. He helps his mom by watering the plants and filling the bottles with water. His favorite pastimes include playing soccer and tag. He has a dog he is fond of. Jadiel is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends a local public school and his favorite subject is math. His wish is to be a doctor when he grows up. Through your support Jadiel and his family will have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, education and nutrition.
