Joan and her family lives in a simple house made of light materials, equipped with its own sanitary latrine and safe water facilities. Her father is supporting the family by working as a farmer. The family also engage in raising native chicken to earn an extra income. He is able to bring home to his family a monthly income of $73.00. However, it is not enough to provide for their basic necessities and, at the same time, provide for the childrens educational needs. The mother is in-charge of child rearing and keeping their house neat and conducive to live. Though financially hard-up the family lives in a peaceful neighborhood. As responsible parent they teach their children good values and to be responsible individual. Joan is the fourth child of the family. Her family use to call her “Ingkay”. She is very keen in learning and exploring new things and at her young age she shows great interest how to color and count numbers. She enrolls as Preschool pupil. When she grows up, she dream to be a teacher someday. The family is praying for a kind-hearted person who would voluntarily help their child.
