Sponsor A Child

 Lahiruni and her sister lives with their parents in a rural village in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. Her father works as a seasonal farmer, facing uncertainties regarding his income and livelihood. Meanwhile, Lahiruni’s mother looks after her children and tries her best to manage the expenses of the household with limited resources. Lahiruni helps her mother to gather firewood and looks after her younger sister. Lahiruni finds joy in making play houses and playing with dolls. In addition, she loves dancing to the music on the radio and singing songs. The family lives in a house which has been built with bricks and the floor is cemented.  The roof is covered with clay tiles.  Fortunately, they possess electricity and a water sealed toilet but the water is obtained from a neighbor’s well.   The valued support of a Sponsor will give hope to their poor lives and also help this child to enjoy some of the essential needs and enjoy a happy life.
